Jacklyn has pit reported LIVE across the nation for over 8 years in motorsports. She has covered many different forms of racing including the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Series, tentpole events at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Martinsville Speedway and more! She has reported on hundreds of drivers and travels to approximately 40 racetracks per year.
Hosting
Specializing in Event Hosting, Jacklyn has hosted events for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity, NASCAR Cup Series Pre-Race Ceremonies, Formula-E, Motortrend, Trackhouse Motorplex, CARS Tour, Podcast Hosting with Motor Racing Network and many digital features over the years.
Booth Announcing
Joining the Booth as a Play-by-Play Announcer, Jacklyn has worked in the booth for over 2 years primarily covering Bowman Gray Stadium. In 2023, she became the first female to join the CARS Tour broadcast as a booth announcer on FloRacing.
THIS IS MY STORY
Texas native and Sports Reporter, Jacklyn (Harris) Drake, was born with a passion for racing running through her veins. Attending her first racetrack at the young age of 6 weeks old, Jacklyn grew up in a household of racers and spent 13 years behind a steering wheel competing in Go-Karts, Quarter Midgets, Legends, and asphalt Late Models.
Her devotion for auto racing followed her into college where she studied and applied her Marketing abilities for her fellow racing teammates who needed a website developed. After moving to North Carolina in 2013, Jacklyn officially initiated her own career in the racing industry by working as a Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer at Roush Yates Engines.
Shortly after, Jacklyn began working on camera with the CARS Tour and Pit Row TV interviewing drivers and fans. She hosted a weekly video series called; "Keeping Up to Pace with Jacklyn" to bring light to CARS Tour events before transitioning over to "The Face of the CARS Tour" in 2018.
She has also worked with Charlotte Motor Speedway, Racing America, Motor Racing Network, NASCAR Roots, various short tracks across the east coast and Pit Row TV for LIVE pit-reporting, hosting and as an on-air personality. In addition, she extensively reported/produced human interest stories within the CARS Tour series for 7 years.
In 2019, Jacklyn teamed up with Hannah Newhouse and Motor Racing Network to develop and host a weekly podcast focused on asphalt Late Model racing and building the fan base for short track racing; 'Sealed Off.'
Jacklyn's passion for motorsports and showcasing behind the scenes stories expanded in 2020 when she launched 'Monday Night Live' hosting a variety of guests from local dirt to NASCAR Cup drivers weekly on her Instagram LIVE.
In 2021 - she joined NASCAR full time as a Manager in Direct to Consumer Strategy and NASCAR Roots reporter covering short track racing both digitally and LIVE on pit road.
As a reporter, Jacklyn is shaping the world of sports reporting by not only telling fans tales of triumph on the track, but simultaneously reporting raw emotion of auto racing.
